Located next to Songshan Station, Plantārium — a multi-functional concept space — is celebrating its first anniversary with a series of weekend events throughout June. On June 2, at the “Sustainability Music Forum,” Plantārium premiered Finding the Shortcut, a song specially created for the brand by singer-songwriter Fang Wu. The event also incorporated a charity initiative to raise funds for the Hualien 0403 Earthquake, kicking off the anniversary month with both music and goodwill.
With environmental issues growing ever more urgent, businesses, schools, and individuals are all finding their own ways to put sustainable living into practice. As a public figure, Fang Wu is also committed to doing her part for the environment. Finding the Shortcut was tailor-made for Plantārium to promote sustainability, using its lyrics to convey the message that Plantārium is the “shortcut” to a sustainable lifestyle.
When asked about the collaboration, Fang Wu shared:
“This is a space that welcomes all eaters to experience sustainability first-hand. It has the delicious and healthy VEGANala restaurant, the Future Supermarket where you can shop with your own containers, and the serene Jing Si Book Lounge — perfect for spending an entire day reading and enjoying coffee. The best part is the rotating exhibitions and markets that draw more people to learn about and practice sustainability.”
As a platform for spreading sustainability awareness, Plantārium and Fang Wu — who uses music to inspire change — found their visions aligned. The anniversary celebration marked the first time she performed the new song, creating a multiplier effect for their shared impact.
During the event, Fang Wu not only sang the Plantārium theme song but also performed three other heartfelt tracks, engaging warmly with fans. A vegetarian herself, she openly admitted that a partner who also eats plant-based is “a big plus.” Her passion for surfing led her to witness ocean pollution first-hand, sparking her concern for marine debris and inspiring her to adopt more sustainable habits — such as carrying her own utensils and eating plant-based meals, now part of her everyday routine.
The “Sustainability Music Forum” also supported the Hualien earthquake relief efforts, encouraging attendees to join in fundraising and keep the cycle of kindness flowing, proving that everyone can contribute to society in their own way.
Special thanks to NEO FOODS for sponsoring the event and providing guests with plant-based protein products, helping show that just one plant-based meal can reduce carbon emissions by 780g. Plantārium is dedicated to building a green economy, empowering youth, and promoting sustainability and low-carbon plant-based living. Through events, lectures, and collaborations with brands such as VEGANala, Future Supermarket, and Jing Si Book Lounge, it continues to create an inspiring space for sustainable lifestyles.
