Dialogue with Peter Singer: Let Choices Be the Beginning of Change
When the world changes rapidly, it becomes ever more important to pause and listen to the voice of life. Have you ever wondered, “How can my choices change the world?” This annual grand event, co-hosted by the Life Caring Association and plantārium, will take place on September 20 at the plantārium Concept Venue. This year, we are honored to welcome Professor Peter Singer, one of the world’s leading thinkers in ethics, who will join us in person. This in-depth conversation will open a new chapter in exploring ethics and sustainability.
About the Life Caring Association
For many years, the Life Caring Association has promoted animal protection, ethical education, and the value of sustainability. We believe that how a society treats animals reflects how people treat one another. From campus education to public advocacy, we trust that every act of respect for life and care for the vulnerable can be turned into action in daily life and blossom into positive influence on society.
Introducing Professor Peter Singer
His book Animal Liberation sparked global awareness and laid the foundation for modern animal rights and effective altruism. Professor Singer’s ethical philosophy has had a profound impact worldwide. This time, he will share the newly revised 2023 edition and engage in live dialogue, inviting us all to reflect: “When there are many choices, how can we choose the actions that are best for the world?” It’s more than a philosophy lecture—it’s a shared exploration of responsibility, hope, and the future.

We hope you will start by re-examining food sources and consumer ethics in daily life, and shift from domination to a “cross-species empathy” between humans and animals. Every plant-based choice and every act of respect for life quietly propels the world toward change. plantārium, the event venue, embodies the values of low-carbon sustainability and harmonious coexistence. Guests will enjoy a specially curated low-carbon plant-based feast, starting a sensory journey into sustainability through taste.
